So, guess what? If you read the previous sentence you just experienced a call to action.
A call to action or CTA is a piece of content (sentence) that gets the viewer or reader to DO something.
The question is, how can we write an effective call to action.
1. Be Clear and Concise
A strong call to action can be long or short. Here at The Social Savvy Co, we prefer using shorter CTAs because we know our readers want us to get straight to the point. Don’t bury the message. If you want someone to click the link in your bio just say it.

No one wants to do something for no reason. In business and as a brand you should consistently give value! If your call to action is of no benefit or does not emotionally connect to the person receiving it, they won’t follow the direction.
Tell your audience what you can do for them or relate to them and they will follow.
4. Create Urgency
“Limited time only”
These phrases create urgency and will get readers to act on whatever you want them to do.
FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) is real and no one wants to be the one person that didn’t get something or know something. Give your audience a sense of urgency to push them to take part in your call to action.
These are my top 4 tips to create an effective call to action. Make sure you use a CTA in everything you do. It may seem gimmicky but people enjoy taking part in the content you create. Even if you do a simple call to action and say: double tap if you agree.
